Dallin's Second Summit of the Y

Ever since Dallin has been old enough (the past two years) we have taken Dallin up to the top of Y mountain, the first year did not go to well. So this year I was a little hesitant to take him back up, but he said he really wanted to go. Julie was very pregnant so she opted to spend her time in the "Mountain of the Lord" (the Provo Temple) alone. Natalie was more than happy to help out and come along. Dallin loved it, for the entire month following the hike he would point out the Y whenever we drove by it and declare to us all that it was his mountain and that he had hiked it with Natalie and I.
Dallin loved using the trekking poles, which proved very entertaining for everyone on the trail that day. As you can see I felt that it was necessary to provide Dallin with a simple and effective harness making me that guy. Lastly it was funny to hear people comment on how cute Natalie and my son was. Mostly to see Natalie's reaction, which was one of disgust, and complete disbelief. It was a great adventure for us all that ended with delicious BYU Creamery ice cream.

Stewart Falls

While Christy and the girls were here we decided to take a fun hike to bring us all closer together.

The falls were beautiful and there were tons of great places to play in the water. It was awesome to be on the trail with the whole family, well sort of. Julie, Preston, and Melissa stayed home. Dallin loved it and always talks about how he hiked the mountain with grandma Farmer. This one is for Grandma. Can you say amazing photo opportunity, this is beyond cute?

I couldn't resist but he is my boy the only thing that will make these hikes better are Preston and Julie.

Let it begin!

My dear mother was actually the Catalyst for this blog. When a women who doesn't know how to send an email tells you she wants to blog you know it is time to blog.

For those of you who don't know, Julie and I recently had son #2, his name is Preston Dean and he is huge. At one month he had 3 plus pounds on his older brothers 1 month weight, which is no small feat.

Also exciting news, we decided to give up the sweet condo life and move into the folks basement for a short time until I am done with school, Oh Yea. That is all I have to say for this entry.

Luckily Julie has more to say through me Nick, I am taking the MCAT this week which I have heard is a good self esteem tool. Dallin has been an amazing little boy, we couldn't ask for a better big brother. He loves Preston and is very protective.

Almost as exciting was the 15 hours Natalie and I spent moving Julie's little brother from Rexburg Idaho to AF Utah. Seriously though we couldn't be more excited to have them close by, and both Dallin and I are very excited too have new play buddies! Julie got new stuff at Rod Works(that is a Mike Birbiglia joke if I ever heard one).
Alright Julie said that I am done now.
